The Cutest Polish Filipino You ever did See!!!

Well our trip to Chicago was not just to get away. We also went to visit my childhood friend Tracy (maid of honor). She had just had a baby in December and I couldn't handle waiting until July to see her baby. The mom is Philipino and the dad is Polish. She is very long and lean with fair skin and black hair that stands straight up. I loved talking with Tracy and Leon about parenthood and seeing the transformation in their lives. You can tell she is the joy of their life. It was great to see her and can't wait to see her with our kids when they come in town in July.Tracy and I grew up in the same neighborhood all our lives even when we moved houses. We reminise how we grew up and the trouble we have gotten into. It is fun to see us grow into parents. What if even more a flash back for me is that Big Sis has become good friends with the neighbor who was adopted from China. It is an odd feeling that this is what it was like just short of 30 years ago form my parents.

Purina Farms with old friends!!!

Today we met up with some old friends and went to Purina Farms. An outing planed by my friend Karen (not pictured-she had to leave early)

One group of old high school friends getting together having our kids get acquainted. It is interesting to see how we each have grown into motherhood and how we have changed. Yet after all these years we can still get together and share our lives and our children's lives. Yes in the picture two of us our growning our families even further. Kari will is expecting in December and we will expect Baby Dean #2 in March.

The girls got along well. Our baby girl loved baby Ally. I'm excited to see how she will be as a big sister. Chloe was great at sharing her baby and Elmo with OBG. Getting them to all look the same way for a picture was another challenge.

OBG had a great time exploring. She will tell you about the tractors and filling them with corn, going through the tunnel maze and seeing all the animals.

We learned about milking a cow and OBG talks about the milk coming out the cow's bottom. She didn't want to try it for herself, maybe in a few years. I learned that a cow can't make milk until they have given birth. Maybe that seems obvious to you, but I had never thought of it in that way.

It was a great day and I'm excited to get together with everybody again and to see our children experience each other. Thanks to Karen for planning it all.
